Types and control methods of batteries in 1000 w wind turbines

Sep 26, 2018

In the independently operating 1000 W wind turbine system, the battery is widely used as an energy storage device, and its function is to store a part of the electric energy from the wind power generator in the battery when the wind is strong or the load is reduced. That is to charge the battery. When the wind is weak, no wind or the electric load increases, the electric energy stored in the battery supplies power to the load to make up for the shortage of the power generated by the wind generator, so as to maintain the continuous supply of power to the load.

The batteries in the market mainly include ordinary batteries, alkaline cadmium nickel batteries and valve-regulated sealed lead-acid batteries. However, most of the 1000 w wind turbines are mostly valve-regulated sealed lead-acid batteries. The battery adopts a sealed structure as a whole, and does not have the phenomenon of gas rise and electrolyte leakage of an ordinary lead-acid battery, and is safe and reliable in use, long in life, and does not need to detect and adjust acid and water in normal operation, and has been widely used. It is applied to many fields such as post and telecommunications, ship traffic, and emergency lighting.

The 1000 w wind turbine battery is the key factor affecting the life of the wind power system. The control of the charge and discharge of the valve-regulated sealed lead-acid battery directly affects the battery life. Therefore, in most cases, the CPU monitors and controls the charge and discharge of the battery. In the process, the staged method is often used to optimize the charging process, so that the battery can be well protected and its service life can be extended.http://www.titanwindturbine.com/
